New Reel and Magic Compression

In all of the excitement of the past few days I have managed to update my demo reel and break down sheet. Although I am now off the market, if found please return this animator to Lucas Arts! What I am really proud of is the compression on this version of the reel. One minute and thirteen seconds long and just over 8 megs, and doesn't look too bad either! This is the lowest I have been able to get sorenson 3 so far and still look half way decent, so I thought I would share the settings:
codec: sorenson3
quality: medium
limit bit rate: auto
frames per sec: 24
keyframe rate: 6
Audio Compression: IMA 4:1, 44.100 kHz
What turns out to be the key to getting good results is not limiting the bit rate and a relatively low keyframe rate. Who knew? I certainly didn't.
On a side note, my buddy Benno pointed out to me that today at 01:02:03 pm/am will be the ONLY time in history the date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06! What incredible times we live in! |
